Chapter Six - Lessons Learned

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will guide you with My eye.
Do not be like the horse or like the mule, which have no understanding,
Which must be harnessed with bit and bridle, else they will not come near you
(Ps 32:8, 9).

Ointment and perfume delight the heart;
And the sweetness of a man’s friend gives delight by hearty counsel
(Pr 27:9).

“I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I know how.” Anonymous

More is caught than taught. In every lesson I learned from Joy, she never spoke it. She lived it. And if repetition is the mother of learning, then mentoring is the most conducive conduit of learning.

Joy consistently used fundamental principles of living which I’d catch and put into practice in my own life. These were lessons that I needed to learn.
