Chapter One - God Meant Us to Be

The mentor walks over the student. And unless you’ve come to the place to where that person walks beside you and is your peer, you haven’t finished your job.”

Mentoring worked for Alexandra and Francesca because they let the principle of mentoring become a process, producing eternal results. They both understood they were meant to meet so Francesca could become all God meant her to be. In return, she has been a blessing to Alexandra, completing the call on Francesca’s life.

We want to share our experience, strength, and hope through the power of our destined friendship. We’ve made major investments in each other’s lives, and we have both reaped rich rewards.

“Most men lead lives of quiet desperation and go to the grave with the song still in them,” said Henry David Thoreau. Joy showed me how to sing as she has sung her life. Now we sing on pitch together.

Joy has passed to me some practical fundamentals and secrets of living that are now successfully fulfilled in my life.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy (Ja 1:5,17; 3:17).

This happened through our friendship and God’s wisdom manifest in us both. Mentoring worked for us, and it will work for you.
