Chapter Six - Lessons Learned

He will answer my prayers because He said so. But I must be abiding in Him. The result of abiding in Him is that my will is lining up with His will. There is no one who loves my children more than Jesus. He loves them and desires their salvation more than I do. So I pray for them faithfully and with assurance that when I trust God for their souls, they are in the best of care.

I pray the 4 C’s: that God will:

1.Create a hunger and thirst for righteousness in their souls,

2.Convict them of sin,

3.Convert them, and finally

4.Jesus brings them to Commitment.

This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. You are My friends if you do whatever I command you (Jo 15:12-14). If I want what He wants, I will be praying for what He wants, so of course He will answer my prayers. My answered prayers are simply the consequence of abiding in Jesus.

“I am the branch on the Vine, and Jesus, Himself, is the Vine flowing through me; that makes me a child of God in the sense that when I pray, the Father sees me as Jesus. When He sees me in the righteousness of His own Son, He will not deny me. I know God is wonderful and that He loves me.

“Years ago, at a pivotal moment in time during prayer, I felt the Word become Rhema in my spirit. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you (Jo 15:7). They were just words before, but I suddenly realized that this really is the truth.
